Michel H. Porcher comes from an Electronic engineering and Meteorological background (seventies and eighties). His interests are in sustainable food production and languages. These have led to an extreme interest in multilingual plant nomenclature. His major publication the M.M.P.N.D. has been on line since 1995 and is due to be updated until at least 2020.
He is currently (since the late nineties) an Honorary staff member in the Department of Agriculture and Food Systems
