- Markus Hahn joined the Melbourne Institute as a Research Officer for the HILDA Survey in May 2008. His duties are to contribute to the annual HILDA Statistical Report and to conduct research with the HILDA Survey. Prior to joining the Melbourne Institute, Markus worked for 3 years as a research assistant at the RWI Essen (Germany). Markus has a German Diplom (Master's equivalent) in Economics from the Ruhr-University Bochum. Since July 2010, he is in enrolled (part-time) in the PhD program at the Melbourne Institute. His PhD thesis is titled 'Income and Earnings Inequality in Germany: Does the Choice of the Income Measure Matter?'.
