Thomas H. Ford is a literary historian of British Romanticism, with particular focus on the poetry of Wordsworth, and has also published on critical and literary theory, on the environmental humanities, and on contemporary poetics. His translation of Boris Groys's The Communist Postscript
was published by Verso in 2010; he has two forthcoming books, Atmospheric Romanticism
, a literary history of air, and an edited collection (co-edited with Tom Bristow), A Cultural History of Climate Change
. He is currently Lecturer in the School of Culture and Communication at the University of Melbourne.
I am available to supervise research projects in Romanticism, particularly Romantic and post-Romantic poetry and poetics. I am also available to supervise topics in cultural and critical theory, including in historicist approaches to ecology and eco-criticism, and in the institutional and disciplinary histories of the humanities.
