  • Brad is an Associate Professor in accounting and a Director of the Centre for Accounting and Industry Partnerships. Brad joined the Department in July, 2003, prior to which he held various academic positions at Deakin University over a period of ten years.

    Brads research and consulting experience encompasses financial accounting and disclosure for both private sector and public sector entities. Accounting and reporting choices made by small and medium size entities and the application of accounting and reporting approaches in understanding corporate social investment and sustainability are examples of current projects.
    Brad has published articles in several international research journals including:

    Brad has also presented research papers at several international conferences and has been recently appointed as an editorial board member of the journals AAAJ, AH and Sustainability Accounting, Management and Policy Journal and acted as ad hoc reviewer for several research journals, including AAAJ, Abacus, Accounting and Finance, Accounting Business and Financial History, AH, Issues in Accounting Education.

    In addition, a key focus of his efforts has been to build research capacity across different disciplines and involving industry partners. In this area, Brad has successfully managed and coordinated different research projects involving a range of industry partners, including the Australian Accounting Standards Board, National Water Commission, CPA Australia, th
