  • A/Prof Boussioutas is a clinician researcher in the field of gastrointestinal oncology. He is a Gastroenterologist at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Royal Melbourne Hospital, and Western Health. He is a tenured academic with the University of Melbourne as Associate Professor in Medicine. He is also Adjunct Associate Professor at Swinburne University of Technology in the Dept. of Microphotonics and honorary Associate Professor at the University of Sydney. He heads the GI division of the Familial Cancer Clinic at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and has an active research laboratory. 

    Dr Boussioutas’ laboratory has programs in genomic profiling of gastric cancer as well as cell biology of gastric cancer to aid translation of genomic findings into therapeutics and biomarkers of early detection. His interests extend to inherited predisposition to colorectal cancer.
