Susan is an Associate Professor in Organizational Studies in the Department. She is an internationally recognized expert in discourse analysis, qualitative methods, older workers and gender within organizations. Her research interests also include privacy and employment, specifically the impact of new technologies such as social networking sites and social media. Before becoming an academic, Susan worked in industrial relations, equal employment opportunity and human resource management in public and private sector organizations. She is on the editorial boards of the journals Organization Studies and Journal of Management Studies and is as Associate Editor for Gender, Work and Organization and Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management.
