DR Amanda Gwee




  • Dr Amanda Gwee is an academic senior lecturer in the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne. She is a general paediatrician, infectious diseases physician and clinical pharmacologist at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. She received a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne in 2004 and was awarded fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2012. She is also am MCRI clinician-scientist fellow. Amanda’s research focuses on optimising the dosing of anti-infective agents in children, an area of increasing importance in the current era of emerging antimicrobial resistance. Her other research priority is studying allergies to anti-infective drugs in children. She was the editor of the 9th edition of the Royal Children’s Hospital Paediatric handbook and is an editor for the Journal of Paediatrics and Child Health.
