  • Allan Patience is an Honorary Principal Fellow in Political Science in the School of Social and Political Sciences in the University of Melbourne. He is a graduate of Monash University and the LSE and has a PhD from the University of Melbourne. He has been a Professor of Politics and Asian studies in universities in Australia and Japan and has held visiting academic appointments in China, Taiwan, Burma, Singapore, and Papua New Guinea. He lectures on Australian foreign policy and is researching middle power theorising in International Relations theorising.
