  • Dr Bibb is Registered Music Therapist and early career researcher with experience in study design, coordination, implementation and dissemination, using mixed methods. Bibb is Breadth Coordinator in Music Therapy and completed her PhD in 2016 under the guidance of Prof McFerran which explored the role of people’s relationship with music in the context of their mental health recovery. While completing her PhD, Dr Bibb continued to work clinically as a music therapist, an academic assistant in music therapy (2016) and an academic research assistant in a large mental health research project with Southern Synergy at Monash University (2015-2017). She has been a Registered Music Therapist since 2011. Since then Bibb has worked clinically in mental health settings in Victoria within multi-disciplinary teams in hospital contexts. Bibb currently works as a Senior Music Therapist at St. Vincent's Hospital and holds an interdisciplinary role as Eating Disorders Clinician at the Body Image and Eating Disorders Treatment and Recovery Service (BETRS) at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Bibb has presented her research and clinical work at national and international conferences and lectured to undergraduate and postgraduate students within her current clinical and academic positions. Bibb's contribution to the professional music therapy community in Australia is exemplified through serving on the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA) in various voluntary roles since 2012 (Victorian Chairperson and Secretary 2012-2016; Convener of the 42nd AMTA National Conference in 2016; Mental Health Representative for the Industry Engagement Committee 2017- 2019).
