Dr. Gideon D.P.A. Aschwanden is the Lecturer in Urban Analytics and evaluates the urban fabric to improve health, transportation and economic opportunities with data driven software tools (machine learning, agent-based modelling and distributed ledgers). The skillset was gained from Princeton University, where his teaching and research was on digital fabrication methods and building systems (cooling and heating architecturally optimized systems), and the ETH Zürich, from where he has an MSc in Architecture and Urban Design and a PhD Sc. . His teaching experience ranges from graduate students in the use of digital evaluation tools in urban planning and design to PhD supervisions. Research has allowed him to deepen his knowledge at the Future Cities Laboratory in Singapore and professional experience to work in Switzerland, Singapore and the United States.
