  • Sharmila is a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at School of Earth Sciences, University of Melbourne. She completed her Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Space Science from University of Pune, India (2015). Presently she is working on ARC Discovery Project entitled ‘Towards a climate theory on Tropical Cyclone genesis’ using observations and high-resolution climate modelling. Her research interests include tropical weather-climate variability and its predictability with special emphasis on extremes.
