  • Renaud is a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. His primary fields are environmental economics and energy economics. His work focuses on carbon taxation, fossil fuels extraction and on nuclear risk perception. His secondary fields are political economics and corporate finance. In these fields, he studies the impact of political connections on firms’ performance and businessmen behaviors.

    Prior joining the Department of Economics at Melbourne University, Renaud worked as a researcher at the London School of Economics, Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, and at Ecole Centrale Paris, from October 2013 until September 2015. He holds a PhD and a master degree in Economics from Paris School of Economics and a master degree in International relations from Sciences Po Paris.
