Molecular coordination between Cell Cycle regulation and Protein production in Cancer cells
Dr.Carmine Onofrillo received his academic education from the university of Bologna, awarding a bachelor’s degree in biology, a master’s degree in molecular biology and a PhD in oncology and experimental pathology. He obtained a post doctorate position at the department of experimental, diagnostic and specialty medicine of the university of Bologna at the Sant’ Orsola Polyclinic to study the relationship between ribosome biogenesis and cell cycle regulation in cancer. He moved in Melbourne to work in the field of advanced tissue engineering. Dr. Onofrillo is part of a multidisciplinary team working at the Biofab3D at the Saint Vincent’s Hospital of Melbourne, his studies are focused on the induction and characterization of stem cells differentiation in a 3D bioprinted environment with the goal to regenerate damaged tissues.
