Supervision Statement

  • Available to supervise students in the following areas: -Molecular aspects of clinical microbiology and infectious diseases, with an emphasis on the bacterial infection caused by Mycoplasma genitalium (especially antimicrobial resistance), and human papillomavirus (HPV) -Characterising the human microbiota (residential bacteria) in health and disease states, including bacterial vaginosis, mastitis, and neonatal gastrointestinal health. Additional research work is being conducted into novel treatments of these conditions and probiotics.
