- My name is Anu. I have very recently moved from New Zealand. I have a doctorate in chemistry (polymer chemistry) from the University of Auckland, New Zealand (2014). My thesis focused on the development of fluorescent conjugated polymer based optical DNA sensors. My PhD research has been published in high impact scientific journals such as Polymer Chemistry and Biosensors and Bioelectronics. Since then, I have worked as a research assistant at the University of Auckland on numerous projects in the past two years focusing on smart nanopore surfaces, Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) based DNA sensors and synthesizing superhydrophic Janus particles (articles are in progress) under the guidance of Prof Jadranka Travas-Sejdic (University of Auckland, School of Chemical Sciences) and Dr Geoff Willmott (University of Auckland, Department of Physics).
