  • Dr Timothy O’Leary holds a full time academic position at Uni of Melbourne and has broad multi-disciplinary supervisory experience in Built Environment research over 30 years. His research, teaching and industry collaborations cover the fields of Building Procurement and Regulations, Construction Industry Economics and Cost Management, Property Development, Residential Energy Efficiency and Housing Markets, Low Carbon, Smart and Sustainable Buildings, Information Technology and Building Information Modelling (BIM). He holds a Masters of Architecture degree from UNISA as well as Phd in the area of Sustainable Energy Engineering of Buildings. He has worked on climate change adaption strategies for the built environment and was a co-supervisor of a Australian Research Council (ARC) funded collaborative project on achieving greater lifetime affordability for housing in Australia. He has been an active researcher and research collaborator in the CRC for Low Carbon living ( 2012 - 2019) were he has contributed to projects at his former institution and research node (UNISA). He is a past state chairman of the South Australian RICS Oceania branch and brings an industry knowledge focus based on prior industry experience in the Construction and Property Industry.
