Dr. Andrew Yu received his Ph.D. in Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University. He also holds an M.A. in Economics and B.A. in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Andrew has over 10 years of professional experience, which include owning a small business in the health and fitness industry, management in commercial manufacturing, working as a corporate employee, and serving as a team leader in the U.S. armed forces, where he received commendations for his leadership and teamwork. Andrew's research program is focused on understanding the interpersonal processes that underlying how people collaborate effectively in team-based work structures. He has been involved in grant research funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation and Office of Naval Research. His research has been published in top-tier management journals, including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Human Resource Management Review, Organizational Behavior & Human Decision Processes, and Organizational Research Methods. He teaches courses in teams/leadership, organisational behaviour, and human resource management.
