Wasana is a teaching specialist in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. She joined the department in 2005 after completing her PhD in Economics at the National University of Singapore.
Warana’s research interests lie broadly on applied microeconomics with a focus on labour and development economics. Her current research focuses on the financial literacy and retirement planning behaviour among migrant communities.
