Rachael is an honorary fellow with the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. Rachael has over 16 years' experience in the field of environmental assessment and remediation, including a PhD related to the treatment of wastewater from dairy processing.
Rachael is a senior chemical engineer with Golder Associates, located Melbourne.
During her PhD Rachael studied the impact of chemical additives on wastewater treatment and characterized the dewaterability of sludges from across New Zealand and Australia. This research built on previous work with Kingett Mitchell Ltd (Auckland, New Zealand) related to the management and environmental impact of dairy wastewaters.
Rachael's focus is in characterization and development of remedial strategy for sites impacted by chlorinated solvents and PFAS.
