Dr McIntosh (previously Walker) is a Senior Research Fellow and Deputy Lead in the Cancer and Primary Care Research Group in the Department of General Practice. Since 2013 Dr McIntosh has been involved in developing and evaluating a colorectal cancer risk prediction tool (CRISP) for use in general practice.

She has also been involved in developing risk communication methods for improving decision support in general practice. Dr McIntosh has been conducting research at the University of Melbourne since 2005 and has extensive experience in research in cancer, sexual health, diabetes, implementation science, using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Dr McIntosh’s current research focuses on implementing novel, evidence based research outcomes into clinical practice. She works closely with policy makers, clinicians, research scientists and consumers. She is open to being contacted for collaboration and supervision.
