Dr Belinda McClaren is the local academic coordinator for the Department of Paediatrics Honours and Master of Biomedical Science Programs. Dr McClaren is a Lecturer for the Master of Genomics and Health; she has responsibility for Professional Practice subject coordination and the facilitation of capstone internships. Dr Belinda McClaren is a Specialist Project Officer for Program 4 of the Australian Genomics Health Alliance, focusing on genomic workforce, education and ethics, based at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute.

She has extensive experience in mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) research with research interests including: family communication of genetic information, support needs of couples after prenatal diagnosis of fetal abnormality, psychosocial impacts of genetic diagnoses and genetics education in primary care.

Also a sessional lecturer in mixed methods and qualitative research design
