Christine Wright is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics where she is the head of the Cardiovascular Therapeutics Unit. She has established a strong reputation with 120 peer-reviewed publications; these have received 4296 citations to date (Google Scholar 11/2019).
Her current research interests and expertise include cardiovascular pharmacology in hypertension, regional vascular reactivity, endothelin and cannabidiol pharmacology. She has a long track record in analytical pharmacology of peptides such as endothelin and omega-conotoxins in sophisticated in vitro and in vivo bioassays, as well as in complex chronic cardiovascular disease models, especially hypertension, regional vascular reactivity and haemodynamics. The Cardiovascular Therapeutics Unit collaborates with Big Pharma and Australian Biotech companies in small to medium term contract research projects.
