I am a physicist, Principal Research Fellow and Head of Neuroinformatics in the Epilepsy and Imaging Divisions at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, and an Informatics Fellow of the Australian National Imaging Facility.
My group develops and applies advanced neuroimaging analysis methods for human brain mapping research.

Answering fundamental questions in neuroscience often requires collaborative research across multiple disciplines. My research is conducted in close collaboration with clinicians, yielding a focus on advancing neuroimaging methods towards better diagnosis and treatment. Technologies utilised include structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), functional MRI (fMRI), and simultaneous fMRI and electroencephalography (EEG/fMRI).
My work is providing new insights into functional and structural brain organisation of healthy individuals, and reorganisation after injury and disease. I have authored over 100 publications with a cumulative total citation count exceeding six thousand (Google scholar). My h-index is 45 and i-10 index is 80. I also lead development of several publicly available neuroimaging software packages, including iBrain and SOCK.
