Patrick Verwijmeren

 

Patrick Verwijmeren (Professor of Finance) has publications in the Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial Economics, among others. He has presented at many international conferences, including the WFA, AFA, and EFA meetings, and has been a speaker at TEDx twice.

His research specializes in convertible securities, short sales, corporate governance, and capital structure. His research on proxy access has been cited in final rulings by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and Patrick Verwijmeren has been involved in writing a report for the Dutch Ministry of Finance on the influence of hedge funds. His research on art featured in Forbes Magazine and the Wall Street Journal. In 2013, he received the prestigious Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research VIDI grant.
