Dr Kirsten Day was appointed as Lecturer in Technology and Practice in July 2019. Prior to this appointment she was the Course Director of Interior Architecture at Swinburne University of Technology from 2016.
Kirsten is a registered architect and director of Norman Day + Associates, Architects & Planners [www.normanday.com]In March 2019 she was one of the invited speakers to discuss ‘Future Design | Future Melbourne’ as part of Melbourne Design Week for the Design Institute of Australia and has a continuing involvement with design and futures projects with Melbourne Knowledge Week. Kirsten organised the international ‘Conference Future Housing: Global issues Regional problems’, at Swinburne (2016) as part of the international Architecture Media Politics Society, Housing-Critical Futures conference series.Her publications, workshops, and design studios explore themes of speculative futures scenarios, the impact of change, and its impact on architecture.
