Karina Needham

 

Dr Needham is head of the Hearing Neurosciences laboratory and a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Surgery (Otolaryngology), based at the Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital in East Melbourne. In 2017 she joined the HEARing CRC, as Project Leader of Interface Optimisation and Assessment.

Her research interests and publications span the fields of neurophysiology, ion channels, optical neural stimulation, auditory physiology, stem cells, cochlear implants and hearing preservation strategies.
