Joanne Devlin

 

Professor Joanne Devlin's research investigates the pathogenesis of a range of veterinary infectious diseases and she has a particular interest in disease control. Her work includes diseases of domestic animals and wildlife, including birds, horses and marsupials.

Her research includes fundamental research as well as more applied research, including vaccine development and testing.

Professor Devlin is a veterinary graduate from The University of Sydney. She worked in private veterinary practice before completing a PhD in Veterinary Virology at The University of Melbourne. After completing her PhD she has held research and teaching positions at The University of Melbourne.

She was awarded an Australian Research Council (ARC) Postdoctoral Fellowship in 2008 and an ARC Future Fellowship in 2014. She is a current member of the ARC College of Experts and is Associate Dean (Research), Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences 2020 - 2021.
