Expertise:
Dr Christensen is an expert in decision making especially the quantification of learning processes and behavioural analyses of problem gambling. He is currently working on several projects relating to problem gambling and substance abuse.

Career:
Dr Christensen completed a PhD in psychology from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) then undertook a 2 year post doctoral research position investigating substance abuse in the Centre for Addiction Research at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (United States of America) before joining the Problem Gambling Research and Treatment Centre at the University of Melbourne.

Dr Christensen is now the Chair in Gambling at Lethbridge University (Canada).

His position is funded by the Alberta Gambling Research Institute.
