Professor Joe Klewicki is Head of the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure (EMI) Engineering in the Melbourne School of Engineering at The University of Melbourne. He is a Fellow of both the American Physical Society and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), and a Distinguished Alumnus of the Michigan State University (MSU) Department of Mechanical Engineering.

As a researcher, Prof Klewicki specialises in experimental methods in fluid mechanics, turbulent and unsteady flows, vorticity dynamics, boundary layers, and atmosphere surface layer phenomena.

He received his BS (1983), MS (1985) and PhD (1989) degrees from MSU, Georgia Tech and MSU respectively.
