Dr Michelle Hall is an early career scientist and the Sir Randal Heymanson Research Fellow at the Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine within the Department of Physiotherapy at the University of Melbourne. She also holds an honorary research fellow position at the Menzies Health Institute Queensland.

Michelle has a long standing interest how knee osteoarthritis develops in young and middle-aged individuals following injury and surgery. Her current research focuses on the components and mechanisms that underpin conservative treatments for osteoarthritis with a view to optimise treatments and ultimately improve quality of life for people living with osteoarthritis and their families. The quality of Michelle’s research has been recognised through a series of research grants, travel awards, research awards including, an International Society of Biomechanics Travel Award (2014) and a Young Investigator of Year Award from Osteoarthritis Research Society International (2012).
