Prior to this appointment he held an ARC Linkage PhD scholarship with the City of Glen Eira as the industry partner investigating the role of affect in local government corporate real estate management. He is in the final throes of completing that research’s dissertation.

In 1999 and 2000 he was a member of the Corporate Real Estate And Asset Management (CREAM) Research Group where he was particularly involved in investigating the contribution of corporate real estate to organisational competitiveness.
