Professor Trevor Leong is a Consultant Radiation Oncologist and immediate past Director of Radiation Oncology at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He qualified from Melbourne University and completed his specialist training at Peter Mac in 1997.

He then completed a laboratory-based Doctorate at the University of Melbourne in 2003. Professor Leong holds an appointment as Professorial Fellow at the University of Melbourne.He is a Board Director of the Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG), and the Trans-Tasman Radiation Oncology Group (TROG). He is Chair of the TROG Scientific Committee. Professor Leong is an active clinician researcher who is involved in both translational research programs as well as clinical research. He is internationally recognized as a leader in the management and research of gastrointestinal cancers including oesophageal, gastric, pancreatic and colorectal cancer.
