David Martino

 

David is an NHMRC biomedical research fellow and currently group leader of the Clinical Epigenetics team at Telethon Kids Institute. His research interests include genetic and epigenetic regulation of the immune response, and mechanisms of allergic disease.

David has published a wide range of mechanistic and developmental studies utilizing genome-wide technologies to yield novel insights into complex diseases mechanisms. Prior to taking this role David was a senior postdoc at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute in the Gastro and Food Allergy group and a junior postdoc in the Cancer and Disease Epigenetics group. David comes from a research background, completing his PhD studies in Molecular Immunology at the University of Western Australia. David is also a graduate of the Molecules to Medicine research commercialisation internship.
