Demi Gao

 

(Demi) Xiao Gao is a Mckenzie research fellow in the Department of Biomedical Engineering with an honorary appointment in the School of Physics, University of Sydney. Demi received her Bachelor degree in Computer Science and Master in Biology, and completed her Ph.D in Information Technology from the University of South Australia in 2016.

Her main research interests are in the fields of next-generation biomedical devices, information theory and machine learning for biomedical applications. Her current work aims to to enable the personalised configuration and to optimise the performance of cochlear implants.
