Dr Craig Horne is a Research Fellow in Cyber Security within the Department of Computing and Information Systems at The University of Melbourne. Dr. Horne is also Managing Director at Informational Risk P/L, which serves to inform directors and ministers on the maturity of their organisation's information security.
He is CEO Founder at Organisational Information Security Strategy, helping board directors make strategic decisions to secure organisational information. He is also CEO Founder at Security Education, Training & Awareness Academy, providing training courses for employees about their role in making sure their employer isn't the next ransomware victim.
Dr. Horne is the national Vice President of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the professional association for people who work in ICT. He maintains his professional development by undertaking a minimum of 30 hours of continuing education annually, as reflected by his Certified Specialist (Cyber Security) status with the ACS.
Dr. Horne has a Doctor of Philosophy from The University of Melbourne on the topic of information security strategy in organisations. He also holds a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and a Master of Business Administration from La Trobe University.
