Annabelle Workman completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Melbourne in 2008, majoring in Politics and Chinese. In her honours year, she investigated China's environmental policies in the lead-up to the Beijing Olympics.
After completed her studies, Annabelle worked for the National Health and Medical Research Council for five years in clinical practice guidelines and research translation. After completing Graduate Diploma in Environments (Public Health) at the University of Melbourne in 2014, Annabelle commenced her PhD in Earth Sciences in 2015. She completed her PhD at the University of Melbourne in August 2019. Annabelle's research investigated the role of health co-benefits in the development of climate change mitigation policies. She developed case studies for Australia, the European Union, China and the United States of America, identifying barriers and opportunities to enhance the political traction of health in the development of mitigation policies.
