Minh Ha is currently a Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne. Minh earned his BSc (Biochemistry, 2008), MSc (Food Science, 2011) and PhD (Biochemistry, 2015) at the University of Otago, New Zealand.

His research projects were concerned with adding value to the meat and dairy industries through improving sensory quality, lowering production cost and re-utilisation of food waste in new product development. During his tertiary training and research projects, Minh acquired theoretical and technical skills across several scientific disciplines including protein chemistry, meat and dairy sciences, proteomics, peptidomics and immunology. Through regular exchange of scientific knowledge and collaborative projects with scientists from health science background, Minh also developed a passion for using disruptive food technologies in evidence-based development of functional food to enhance consumer health. Since joining the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences, The University of Melbourne, Minh has continued to contribute to both fundamental and applied knowledge in food science and been active in translational research, evidenced through scientific publications, industry reports and media release, conference and seminar presentations and supervision of postgraduate students.
