Alexandra Johnston joins the Williams Centre for Learning Advancement as Associate Lecturer, jointly coordinating the Tutoring in Higher Education program. Alexandra is currently a PhD Candidate and holds a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology, Graduate Certificates in Educational Research and University Teaching, and Bachelor's degrees in Education and Fine Arts.Alexandra has been engaged as a teaching specialist and research assistant with the University of Melbourne over the past four years.

She has over twenty years of corporate and educational sector experience bringing both industry practice and academic insights to her work. Her experience includes managing education teams and programs with Canberra Museums and Galleries, the National Museum of Australia, Museum Victoria, the City of Melbourne, and the Melbourne Graduate School of Education. Alexandra is also a consultant in education, with experience working with a range of educational providers across public and private sectors. Her PhD is focused on the role of peer review in developing scholarly teaching capabilities of Australian higher education teaching academics.
