Dr Vanessa Pouthier is a lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing at the University of Melbourne. She received her Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Prior to joining the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Melbourne, Vanessa was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bocconi University, Italy. Vanessa's research addresses the dynamics of organisational and institutional change and the issue of relational quality between professional groups and between professionals and clients in institutionally complex contexts, such as the health care sector. Her work also explores the process of professional socialisation, with a particular focus on the role of the body and affect.
