Kyle Harvey is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Melbourne School of Design. He works on an ARC Linkage Project 'Migration, Cultural Diversity and Television: Reflecting Modern Australia', based between the University of Tasmania, the University of Wollongong, Museums Victoria, and the Australian Centre for the Moving Image.
This project investigates the interlinking histories of new Australians, television viewing, and television production in Australia since 1956. Kyle's other research interests encompass the history of social movements, radical thought, migration, and media in Australia, the United States, and the Pacific. He is the author of 'American Anti-Nuclear Activism, 1975-1990: The Challenge of Peace' (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014), and several articles and book chapters on anti-nuclear protest in Australia and the United States.
