Dr Velentzis has a PhD in epidemiology from University College London (UK). Her work encompasses a variety of projects on breast and cervical cancer prevention and screening within Australia.
She also has an interest in the effects of exogenous hormones (e.g. menopausal hormone therapy) as risk factors for female cancers. Dr Velentzis is involved in Pathways-Breast and Pathways-Cervix, programs of work conducted by Cancer Council NSW involving the evaluation and translation of new strategies for cancer control.
