Dr. Marjolein Kammers is the Co-Director of the cross-disciplinary Mental Health PhD program, which is jointly run by the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, the School of Population and Global Health, and the Department of Psychiatry. Marjolein was awarded her PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Utrecht University, in the Netherlands, in 2008, and was subsequently awarded a 2-year MRC-ESRC postdoctoral research fellowship to work at the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London, UK.

Her research background lies in mental body representations and pain, with a focus on the subjective experiences of embodiment and the underlying (neuro)physiology.
