Tesfaye Molla

Dr. Tesfaye Molla is a lecturer in the department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne (UoM). He completed his BSc and MSc degrees in Mechanical Engineering and studied his PhD at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

Dr Tesfaye's research focuses on the application of Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME) techniques for designing advanced materials that are produced through powder metallurgy (PM) including binder jet 3D printing routes. His expertise includes simulating the sintering performance as well as the resulting mechanical properties of sintered materials using models at meso-, macro-scales and/or a combination of both (multi-scale modeling). He has over 25 publications in international peer reviewed journals and conferences, including the Journal of American as well as European ceramic societies, Journal of Computational Materials Science, Journal of Power Sources, Journal of Integrating Materials Innovation and Manufacturing, etc.
