Caroline van Gemert-Doyle

 

Dr van Gemert is an epidemiologist and whose research interests include the epidemiology and control of sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses. Her research focuses on the surveillance of sexually transmitted infections and blood borne viruses, with a particular focus surveillance systems and interventions in the Asia Pacific region.

Dr van Gemert holds an NHMRC Early Career Researcher Fellowship and works within the Sexual Health Unit at the Melbourne School of Population and Global Health, University of Melbourne. She has close ties to the Burnet Institute, and completed her PHD under the supervision of Professor Margaret Hellard at the Burnet Institute.
