Humaira is a post doctoral researcher with the Gender and Women's Health Unit. Her PhD research investigated birthing experiences of flood-affected women in relief camps and translated findings into a parsimonious maternity-care model for rural Pakistan.
Humaira has worked in the Centre of Population Health Research at Deakin University, and at Aga Khan University, Pakistan. She is a mixed-methods researcher with interests in gender and health inequalities, rural health workforce development, primary health care, and health system strengthening.
