Angela Devine holds an honorary position with the University of Melbourne. She is also a health economist with Menzies School of Health Research.

Her current research is focused on the cost-effectiveness of options for the management of vivax malaria and the burden of disease associated with it. In particular, she investigates options for improving the safe and effective deployment of radical cure in a variety of transmission and geographical settings in order to optimize a global strategy for the radical cure of vivax malaria. Her previous work research has addressed a wide range of topics, mainly relating to infectious diseases and global health. These have included the impact of early antiretroviral therapy for individuals with HIV and hepatitis B co-infections, strategies for cervical cancer screening in HIV clinics in Africa and modelling the long-term impact of an identification and referral programme for intimate partner violence.
