Diana Carolina Velasquez Reyes is a Registered Nurse and emerging mental health researcher at the University of Melbourne, Australia. She obtained her Bachelor of Nursing in La Saba University in Colombia, and initially pursued a clinical career in Adult Intensive Care at La Fundacion CardioInfantil in Bogota, Colombia.
A particular interest in nursing research and translating research to improved clinical practice quickly developed and she moved to Melbourne Australia in 2012 to complete a Master of Nursing at Monash University. She has published and contributed to systematic reviews relating to diverse clinical questions. However, her clinical work demonstrated the importance of mental health in influencing general health outcomes.
