Dr Allison Creed is a Curriculum Designer in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Melbourne with expertise in Learning Design, Applied Linguistics, and Organisational Coaching.

Allison has experience as a Lecturer (Level B) and Course Examiner in cross-disciplinary learning and teaching in blended and online undergraduate and postgraduate courses on and off-shore in Education (e.g., Master of Education:TESOL), Counselling (Master of Education: Guidance & Counselling), and Applied Linguistics (e.g., Discourse Analysis, Sociolinguistics).

In addition, Allison held the position of Research Fellow (Grade 2) for the AGRADES project (2017-2018) funded by Graduate Careers Australia in the ACCELL team at the University of Southern Queensland. Allison is a Researching and Applying Metaphor Executive Committee member (Conference Secretary), research team member of the University of Southern Queensland ACCELL and collaborates with the Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences Faculty of Education and University of Amsterdam Metaphor Lab where she has been an invited Visiting Research Scholar. Her research utilises conceptual metaphor theory and cognitive linguistics to focus on issues in career and employability and the language of wine.

The A-GRADES will be an omnibus measure of the multidimensional construct, employability that can be used by students, university personnel (e.g., career practitioners, work-integrated learning specialists) and researchers.
2. Research Fellow 2. Queensland Government Building Better Regions Fund - Community Investments Stream (2018-19; successful $60,000). Project: Equipping leaders to attract and retain workers in regional centres. This project will develop The Regional Leadership Workforce Toolkit to equip business leaders to enhance their attraction, engagement, and retention activities of vital workers in a nationally competitive environment. By changing the way leaders attract/develop their personnel this information will create career progression pathways that grow and strengthen ties to the community.
