Dr Carla McEnery is a research fellow at Orygen, Centre for Youth Mental Health and a board registered Psychologist. A senior member of Orygen Digital's interdisciplinary Moderated Online Social Therapy (MOST) team, one of Dr McEnery's main responsibilities is to oversee coordination for the development, writing, design, execution and quality control of exceptional clinical content informed by evidence based psychological models and interventions, suitable for a digital context addressing a wide range of clinical mental ill-health presentations in young people.
As such, Dr McEnery's research focuses on the development and evaluation of innovative digital technologies designed to harness the full potential of early intervention to bring about long-term social and functional recovery in youth mental health.

Dr McEnery also has particular clinical, and research, interest in understanding the mechanisms underpinning severe mental-ill health presentations including psychosis, mood disorders and trauma; in addition to the development and delivery of effective psychosocial interventions to treat these clinical presentations. Dr McEnery's PhD research focused on the design, development and evaluation of a moderated online social therapy platform to treat young people with co-morbid FEP and social anxiety.
