Ger Post develops online education at the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience. Post has extensive experience in developing and teaching interdisciplinary education at various programmes at the University of Amsterdam (UvA), including the research master Brain and Cognitive Sciences, the bachelor Natural and Social Sciences, and the master Brain and Cognition in Society.

He has co-written five handbooks for Amsterdam University Press on academic skills, interdisciplinary learning activities, designing interdisciplinary education, and interdisciplinary research. Post has held several workshops on interdisciplinary research and designing interdisciplinary education at various universities and conferences. Another topic that interests him is critical thinking. He developed and taught workshops in critical thinking for master students (at the UvA) and professional sport coaches (at the Dutch Olympic Committee).As part of the research master Brain and Cognitive Sciences, Post was involved in two research projects. At the Neuroscience Institute Netherlands he did research on the effects of sleep deprivation on learning and the effects op deep brain stimulation on obsessive-compulsive disorders. At the Mental health Research Institute (Melbourne) he researched the genetic and environmental (stress) factors that contribute to schizophrenia symptoms.The neural and cognitive correlates of stress was not only part of his internship, but also the topic of his popular science book Stalen Zenuwen (‘Nerves of Steel’ - 2nd edition). Post has written numerous articles for leading newspapers and magazines in the Netherlands.
